TOPFLYtech KnightX 100 — Rechargeable Battery LTE Cat 1 Asset Tracker for People, Parcels, Vehicles and Portable Assets
The TOPFLYtech KnightX 100 is a compact, rechargeable battery-powered LTE Cat 1 tracker built for versatile deployment across personal safety, logistics, and portable asset monitoring. The KnightX 100 needs no vehicle wiring and can be deployed in a suitable location after SIM, network and platform configuration. A 6,400 mAh Li-ion battery, multi-modal positioning via GPS, Wi-Fi, and LBS, and BLE 5.1 sensor compatibility make it one of the most flexible battery-powered trackers in the TOPFLYtech range. Available from UK stock, dispatched from our London warehouse.
Overview
The KnightX 100 connects via LTE Cat 1 with GSM fallback across a broad set of international frequency bands, with coverage dependent on compatible local operators and bands. Multi-constellation GNSS — GPS, Glonass, BeiDou, Galileo, and QZSS — delivers position accuracy under 1.5 metres CEP, with manufacturer cold-start figures of under 15 seconds with EPO assistance or 30 seconds without it, and hot start under 2 seconds. When GNSS signal is limited — indoors, underground, or in dense urban environments — the device supplements positioning with Wi-Fi and LBS (mobile cell) data where the connected platform supports these methods; availability and accuracy depend on the environment.
Real-time location updates can be configured as frequently as every 3 seconds, and location points are buffered when out of network coverage and uploaded automatically on reconnection.
Key Features
Long-Life Rechargeable Battery — 6,400 mAh Li-ion battery with up to 134 days of standby at 10-minute reporting intervals (based on 2 hours active tracking per day). Recharged via USB-C.
GPS + Wi-Fi + LBS Positioning — Multiple positioning methods support location reporting where satellite visibility is limited; results depend on signal conditions and the configured platform.
No Vehicle Wiring Required — Deploy in a suitable location after SIM and tracking-platform setup.
Real-Time and Buffered Location — Location updates as frequent as every 3 seconds. Points buffered when out of network coverage and uploaded automatically on reconnection.
IP67 Enclosure — The manufacturer lists IP67 protection and also states that the unit is not for outdoor use. Confirm the intended installation environment before ordering.
BLE 5.1 Sensor Compatibility — Works with TOPFLYtech's T-Sense temperature and door sensor, TSTH1-B temperature and humidity sensor, TSR1-B wireless relay, T-Button key fob and panic button, and T-Relay hardwired relay.
Optional External Temperature Probe — Add an external temperature probe for ambient or in-cargo temperature monitoring without additional wireless sensors.
Built-In Temperature Sensor — Internal temperature monitoring included as standard.
Movement Alerts — Configurable alerts triggered on start and stop moving events for immediate notification of unscheduled activity.
Low Battery Alarm — Configurable low-battery alerts through the connected monitoring platform.
Data Security — Manufacturer-listed MD5 and AES options; MD5 is a hash, while AES provides encryption. Confirm supported security settings with the platform integrator.
FOTA Support — Remote firmware updates over the air.
KnightX 100 vs KnightX 300 — Which Should You Choose?
Both the KnightX 100 and KnightX 300 are rechargeable battery-powered asset trackers with no-installation deployment and multi-modal positioning. The key difference is network technology. The KnightX 100 uses LTE Cat 1, offering broader band support, higher data throughput, and wider compatibility across standard UK and international LTE networks — making it the right choice for most deployments. The KnightX 300 uses LTE Cat M1, an IoT-optimised protocol with lower power consumption on Cat M1-enabled networks, suited to deployments where maximum battery efficiency on Cat M1 infrastructure is the priority. If you need broad LTE Cat 1 coverage and faster data exchange, choose the KnightX 100. If your network supports Cat M1 and you want to push battery endurance further, consider the KnightX 300.
Ideal Applications
People Tracking — Discreet tracking for children, elderly family members, lone workers, and field staff. Place in a bag, pocket, or worn accessory for continuous location visibility.
Luggage and Parcel Tracking — Track bags, suitcases, and parcels through airports, depots, and transit hubs. Movement alerts notify if an item is moved unexpectedly.
Vehicle and Asset Security — Covertly placed inside a vehicle or asset for backup tracking alongside a primary hardwired device, or as a standalone hidden tracker.
Cold Chain Monitoring — With an optional temperature probe or BLE temperature sensor, monitor cargo conditions alongside location throughout the supply chain.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the KnightX 100 need to be installed?
The KnightX 100 is battery powered and does not require permanent vehicle wiring. It still requires charging, compatible connectivity, platform configuration and suitable placement before tracking can operate.
How long does the battery last?
At 10-minute reporting intervals with 2 hours of active tracking per day, the battery lasts up to 134 days. At 5-minute intervals this drops to approximately 88 days, and at 1-minute intervals around 71 days. Actual battery life will vary with usage patterns and signal conditions.
How is the KnightX 100 charged?
Via a standard USB-C cable.
What positioning methods does it use?
The device supports GNSS, Wi-Fi and cellular positioning options. Wi-Fi and cellular positioning depend on a compatible location service and integration; none guarantees location indoors or underground.
Is it waterproof?
The manufacturer lists an IP67 enclosure. Follow its installation and environmental guidance, including its restrictions on outdoor use; the rating is not a guarantee for every exposure condition.
Can it monitor temperature?
Yes. An internal temperature sensor is built in, and an optional external temperature probe can be added for in-cargo or ambient monitoring. It also supports BLE temperature and humidity sensors such as the TSTH1-B.
Does it support BLE accessories?
Yes. Via BLE 5.1 it is compatible with TOPFLYtech's T-Sense temperature and door sensor, TSTH1-B temperature and humidity sensor, TSR1-B wireless relay, T-Button key fob and panic button, and T-Relay hardwired relay.
