Queclink GL52LP — LoRa Micro Asset Tracker with 4-Year Standby for Stationary Asset Monitoring

The Queclink GL52LP is a landmark product in Queclink's range — the company's first LoRa-integrated tracking device, combining GNSS positioning with Low Power Wide Area network technology to deliver over four years of standby battery life in a micro-sized form factor that allows completely covert installation on virtually any asset.

Where cellular asset trackers draw significant power from GSM, 4G or Cat M1 networks, the GL52LP uses LoRa Class A connectivity — the most energy-efficient LoRa operating class, where the device transmits data to a LoRaWAN gateway and then enters a low-power listening mode, consuming a fraction of the power of any cellular device. The result is a tracker that can monitor stationary assets, control inventory and support stolen vehicle recovery applications for over four years on a single battery without any maintenance, recharging or replacement.

Resistant to existing GPS jamming techniques and available with an optional IP67 waterproof case for outdoor and harsh environment deployments, the GL52LP is purpose-built for long-term, maintenance-free asset monitoring where cellular connectivity is impractical, cost-prohibitive or unnecessary.

As an authorised Queclink distributor in the UK, Tracking Hardware UK stocks the GL52LP and ships directly from our London warehouse — with trade pricing available for asset management companies, logistics operators and resellers.

Key Features

  • LoRa Class A connectivity — the most energy-efficient LoRa operating class, transmitting data to a LoRaWAN network gateway and entering low-power listening mode after each transmission, enabling over four years of standby battery life

  • Over 4-year standby time — exceptional battery life making the GL52LP ideal for long-term stationary asset monitoring and inventory control applications where cellular connectivity would drain the battery within weeks or months

  • GNSS positioning — built-in GNSS receiver provides accurate location data for assets when GPS positioning is required alongside LoRa communication

  • Motion sensor — built-in motion detection identifies when assets are moved or disturbed, triggering location updates and alerts for theft, unauthorised movement and inventory management

  • Micro size for covert installation — extremely compact form factor allows discreet installation on virtually any asset type, including inside vehicles, on pallets, inside packaging and on machinery

  • Resistant to existing jamming techniques — provides reliable operation in environments where GPS jamming is a known risk, protecting against sophisticated theft techniques

  • Optional IP67 waterproof case — enhances durability for outdoor deployments, harsh weather conditions and industrial environments

  • Everynet LoRaWAN certified — certified for operation on Everynet LoRaWAN networks, one of the largest LoRaWAN network operators globally

  • Geofencing and movement alerts — configurable alerts when assets are moved or enter and exit defined zones

Important Note — LoRa Network Requirement

The GL52LP requires access to a LoRaWAN network gateway to transmit data. Unlike cellular trackers that use standard SIM cards on mobile networks, the GL52LP communicates via LoRa radio to a LoRaWAN gateway. This makes it ideal for deployments within warehouse and yard environments where private LoRaWAN gateways can be installed, or in areas covered by public LoRaWAN networks such as the Everynet network. Contact us for guidance on LoRaWAN network availability and infrastructure requirements for your specific deployment location before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is LoRa and how is it different from cellular tracking?

LoRa — Long Range — is a Low Power Wide Area network technology that transmits small amounts of data over long distances using very little power. Unlike cellular trackers that use mobile network SIM cards and consume relatively high amounts of power, LoRa devices communicate directly with LoRaWAN gateways using extremely low power — enabling battery lives measured in years rather than weeks. The trade-off is that LoRa networks require gateway infrastructure to be in place at the deployment location.

Does the GL52LP require a SIM card?

No — the GL52LP does not use a SIM card or cellular network. It communicates via LoRa radio to a LoRaWAN network gateway. A LoRaWAN network must be available at your deployment location. Contact us for guidance on LoRaWAN network options before ordering.

Can the GL52LP battery be recharged?

No — the GL52LP uses a non-rechargeable single-use battery designed for the device's operational lifetime of over four years. After the battery is depleted the device would need to be replaced.

Is the GL52LP waterproof?

The GL52LP is available with an optional IP67 waterproof case that provides full dust and water resistance for outdoor and harsh environment deployments. Contact us when ordering if you require the waterproof case option.

Can I buy the GL52LP in bulk from Tracking Hardware UK?

Yes — we supply asset management companies, logistics operators and resellers across the UK and internationally. Volume pricing and trade accounts are available. Contact us for a bulk quote.
