The Orbcomm ST8100 is a dual-mode satellite-cellular terminal designed for cost-effective IoT asset tracking across the most remote regions of the world. Combining cellular connectivity with ORBCOMM's satellite networks (OGx or IDP), the ST8100 ensures continuous visibility for mobile and fixed assets in industries including maritime, transportation, oil & gas, agriculture and water management.
Powered by a solar-charged battery, the ST8100 is particularly well-suited for applications without an external power source — such as tracking small vessels, monitoring remote pipelines or managing off-grid equipment. Its small form factor and cableless installation simplify deployment, while out-of-the-box support for ORBCOMM wireless sensors extends its functionality without additional wiring. A 12V output allows the device to power wired sensors directly.
