Teltonika LV-CAN200 — CAN Bus Adapter for Light Vehicles, Trucks and Buses
The Teltonika LV-CAN200 is Teltonika's established CAN bus adapter for reading vehicle data from passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses. By connecting directly to the vehicle's CAN bus lines, the LV-CAN200 reads essential vehicle parameters — including real fuel level, total fuel consumption, odometer mileage, engine RPM, engine temperature, oil pressure and door status — directly from the vehicle's onboard computer, and transmits them to your fleet management platform alongside GPS location data via a compatible Teltonika GPS tracker.
Supporting over 1,000 vehicle models across light vehicles, vans, trucks and buses, the LV-CAN200 provides fleet operators with a cost-effective entry point into CAN data reading — enabling fuel monitoring, maintenance planning, driver behaviour reporting and vehicle utilisation analysis that GPS-only tracking cannot provide. An optional DTC variant adds Diagnostic Trouble Code reading for proactive vehicle maintenance alerting.
As an official Teltonika distributor in the UK, Tracking Hardware UK stocks the LV-CAN200 and ships directly from our London warehouse — with trade pricing available for telematics service providers, fleet operators and resellers.
Key Features
CAN bus data reading — connects directly to the vehicle's CAN bus lines and reads real vehicle parameters including fuel level, mileage, fuel consumption, RPM, engine temperature, oil pressure and door status without interfering with vehicle electronics
Supports 1,000+ vehicle models — broad compatibility across passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, with the Teltonika supported vehicle list available to confirm compatibility before deployment
Real fuel level and consumption — reads genuine fuel level and total fuel consumption data directly from the vehicle's CAN bus, providing accurate fuel monitoring for fleet cost management
Mileage and odometer — reads real vehicle odometer data for accurate mileage reporting and service interval monitoring
Engine data — reads engine RPM, engine temperature, coolant temperature and oil pressure or level status for vehicle health monitoring
Door status monitoring — monitors front, rear, trunk and other door open and closed status for vehicle security and driver behaviour reporting
Vehicle speed via CAN — reads vehicle speed directly from the CAN bus for accurate speed monitoring independently of GPS
Accelerator pedal position — monitors driver pedal behaviour for eco-driving and fuel efficiency programmes
Low power consumption — under 0.4mA in standby mode, minimising impact on vehicle battery
Wide power supply range — 9V to 50V DC for compatibility with both 12V and 24V vehicle electrical systems
Operating temperature range — rated from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius for reliable operation in all environments
Optional DTC variant — LV-CAN200 with DTC reads Diagnostic Trouble Codes from the vehicle ECU for proactive maintenance alerting

LV-CAN200 vs ALL-CAN300 — Which Should You Choose?
Both the LV-CAN200 and ALL-CAN300 read CAN bus data from vehicles and connect to the same range of Teltonika GPS trackers. The LV-CAN200 supports passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, trucks and buses — covering the majority of standard fleet vehicle types. The ALL-CAN300 extends support further to include electric vehicles, agriculture, construction, forestry and special machinery, and adds additional parameters such as AdBlue level, engine lifetime and airbag status. If your fleet consists of standard light vehicles, vans, trucks and buses, the LV-CAN200 is a cost-effective choice. If you operate electric vehicles, agricultural or construction machinery, or need the broadest possible parameter coverage, the ALL-CAN300 is the better option.
Typical Use Cases
Ideal for light commercial vehicle fleet management requiring real fuel level and mileage data, truck and bus fleet operators monitoring fuel consumption and engine health, proactive fleet maintenance using engine temperature and oil pressure monitoring, driver behaviour programmes using pedal position and vehicle speed data, vehicle security monitoring with door status alerts, and any fleet application requiring CAN bus data from a cost-effective, widely compatible adapter.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between the LV-CAN200 and the ALL-CAN300?
The LV-CAN200 supports passenger cars, light vehicles, trucks and buses. The ALL-CAN300 adds support for electric vehicles, agriculture, construction, forestry and special machinery, and reads additional parameters including AdBlue level. For standard fleet vehicles the LV-CAN200 is a cost-effective choice. For mixed or specialist fleets, the ALL-CAN300 offers broader coverage.
What vehicle data does the LV-CAN200 read?
The LV-CAN200 reads total fuel consumption, real fuel level, vehicle mileage, door status, engine RPM, oil pressure and level status, engine temperature, vehicle speed, accelerator pedal position and other parameters depending on vehicle compatibility. Contact us with your vehicle make, model and year for a compatibility check.
Does the LV-CAN200 work without a Teltonika GPS tracker?
No — the LV-CAN200 is a CAN adapter that must be paired with a compatible Teltonika GPS tracker to transmit data to your fleet management platform. It does not function as a standalone device.
Is there a version that reads fault codes?
Yes — the LV-CAN200 is also available with optional DTC support, which adds Diagnostic Trouble Code reading from the vehicle ECU for proactive fleet maintenance alerting. Contact us when ordering if you require the DTC variant.
Can I buy the LV-CAN200 in bulk from Tracking Hardware UK?
Yes — we supply telematics service providers, fleet operators and resellers across the UK and internationally. Volume pricing and trade accounts are available. Contact us for a bulk quote including compatible trackers.
Does the LV-CAN200 work alongside driver identification keypads?
Yes — the LV-CAN200 connects to your Teltonika tracker's CAN interface while driver identification keypads (iButton, RFID or BLE) use the 1-Wire or Bluetooth interface, so vehicle data and driver ID run together on the same tracker. Tracking Hardware UK can supply the complete bundle.
